Columnar beech Dawyck Purple" 1.20 - 1.50 m Fagus sylvatica "Dawyck Purple"

Columnar beech Dawyck Purple" 1.20 - 1.50 m Fagus sylvatica "Dawyck Purple"

Fagus sylvatica 'Dawyck Purple' (Column Beech 'Dawyck Purple') is a columnar variety, native to Scotland, with bodeaux-red, almost purple foliage. It has an elongated oval habitus with a straight stem, branched from the base. The main branches are almost perfectly straight arranged very close to the trunk. Sometimes the trunk can split towards the top into two or three stems that grow straight, very close together. It is an ideal beech species for small gardens. The silky leaves are up to 10 cm long, ellipse-shaped with wavy edges, with a crimson-red color that reaches shades of red-motion in autumn. The leaves remain on the branches until the end of winter even after drying, which is why the species is often used for hedges. It has no particular preferences for soil types, but grows well in deep, not very compact, cool and fertile soils, even in calcareous ones. Best results occur in areas with cool, wet summers and cold but frost-free winters. Maximum height: 12 - 15 m Maximum width: 2.5 - 3 m Zone 5 -28.8°C / -23.4°C (minimum temperature resistance). Heuchera "Paris" 0.10 - 0.20 m

Hortensia "Endless Summer BloomStar" 0.40 - 0.60 m /Hydrangea macrophylla „Endless Summer BloomStar” / - Gradina Noastra

Hortensia "Endless Summer BloomStar" 0.40 - 0.60 m /Hydrangea macrophylla „Endless Summer BloomStar” /

In contradictie, asezarea in plin soare da cele mai bune rezultate acolo unde exista o concentratie mare de umiditate in aer. Doar in reginile foarte reci din nordul tarii este recomandata protejarea in timpul iernii. Florile hortensiilor apar din iunie pana in septembrie. Inaltime maxima :  1.5 – 2.5 m Latime maxima : 1.5 – 2.5 m Zona 6   -23.3°C / -17.8°C (rezistenta temperaturi minime). Idera Elegantissima" landing 1.40 -1.70 m Hedera helix "Elegantissima"

Idera Elegantissima" landing 1.40 -1.70 m Hedera helix "Elegantissima"

Genus Hedera (Ivy) Ivy is a climbing, creeping or pendulous evergreen plant with adventitious roots that are used to cling to the ground or any type of support. Once the plant reaches the top of the support, it continues to grow, but changes its appearance and bearing, becoming an aerial bush with leaves that are no longer lobed, but entire, usually ovate, and in autumn they begin to "bloom" producing large globular inflorescences yellow. The flowers are followed by black fruits that attract birds. Ivy also grows in poor soils, in any position and tolerates competition from the roots of trees or bushes growing above them. The best results are obtained in deep, calcareous or slightly acidic substrates. The rule for all these plants is that if planted in full sun, the roots must be in deep, cool soil. If grown in pots, no variety tolerates a very sunny position; all require excellent drainage, moderate watering in winter, and a light, airy position; they do not like to be kept in heated places. When the plant gets too big, it can be cut at any time of the year. Hedera helix "Elegantissima" (Ivy "Elegantissima") has a very regular shape, with 3-lobed or 5-lobed lobed leaves, 3-5 cm long and wide when young, then 7-8 cm. The leaves are green, evergreen, with silver-white edges. It grows slowly in the first years and is not very dense. Ilex "Blue Maid" con 1.00 - 1.20 m / Ilex meserveae "Blue Maid" /

Inaltime maxima :  2-3 m Latime maxima : 1.5 - 32 m Zona 6   -23.3°C / -17.8°C (rezistenta temperaturi minime). English laurel Novita" 3.00 - 4.00 m Prunus laurocerasus" Novita"

Prunus laurocerasus "Novita" (in English "Novita" laurel) is an evergreen shrub recently created in the Netherlands, considered an improved species of Prunus laurocerasus "Caucasica" , because of the longer, firmer, brighter green leaves. The flowers are whiter than Prunus laurocerasus 'Caucasica' . It is also considered to be more resistant to diseases. Growth Requirements: Adapts to various soil types, but prefers moderately dry to moist, fertile, slightly acidic to alkaline soil. It tolerates any position, but needs a lot of light if placed in the shade. Tolerates even heavy cutting and low temperatures. If the aerial part of the plant is damaged by long periods of frost, it will produce vigorous new growth from the base. Holy laurel "Argenteomarginata" multistemmed 1.00 -1.30 m Ilex aquifolium Argenteomarginata"

Holy laurel "Argenteomarginata" multistemmed 1.00 -1.30 m Ilex aquifolium Argenteomarginata"

Ilex aquifolium 'Argenteomarginata' (Holy Laurel 'Argenteomarginata') is one of the most beautiful species of Ilex. Evergreen shrub with irregular growth in early years, sometimes conical, sometimes round, but always very dense. Later, if it is trimmed properly (it tolerates trimming perfectly), it takes on a very wide pyramidal shape. When grafted to a height of about 1 meter, it becomes a small tree with a round crown, being one of the most popular varieties. The leaves are ovoid to lanceolate, up to 8 cm long and 4 cm wide, have a glossy surface and uneven wavy edges with 7-9 spines on both sides and a pointed tip. In late spring, when the young leaves are formed, they have a slight shade of purple, which thus creates a particularly attractive contrast with the leaves already existing on the plant. Then they also turn dark green, becoming very glossy, with initial uniform silver-white streaks and then creamy yellow. Some leaves are colored half yellow, others are full yellow. Female plants produce abundant fruit, as does the species Ilex aquifolium - red berries that form in September and remain on the plant until the following year; the same conditions as the type species Ilex aquifolium - durable, withstands low temperatures, tolerates cutting. It can be used as a single plant, in groups or with other plants, as well as for forming hedges. As a grafted plant, it is used in geometric gardens or as a central plant in limited areas. It also looks great in pots on balconies, terraces or verandas. Maximum height: 4 - 8 m Maximum width: 3 - 5 m < /p> Zone 7 -17.7°C / -12.3°C (minimum temperature resistance). Growth: slow. Location: sun, partial shade. Lavender Spicata" 0.30 - 0.40 m Lavandula angustifolia "Spicata"

Lavender Spicata" 0.30 - 0.40 m Lavandula angustifolia "Spicata"

Lavender, or lavender , is a perennial plant, considered a small shrub because the branches become woody. It has evergreen leaves, even in winter, usually the leaves are silver-green, but there are also varieties with green or silver leaves. They reach maturity in 2-5 years, and can live 40-50 years without problems, but in Western Europe, there are 80-100 year old plantations with plants of the same age. It is native to the Mediterranean area. There is a controversy with the name of lavender, the one that resists us without problems over the winter, planted in the garden, is the variety < a href="http: //www.plant-shop.ro/search.php?orderby=position&orderway=desc&search_query=angustifolia&submit_search=Caut%C4%83"> Lavandula angustifolia , i.e. the one with the narrow leaf. Some call it English lavender, others French or true lavender, so it is good to call it narrow-leaved lavender, so there will be no confusion with the varieties: Lavandula stoechas span> or Lavandula intermedia. It is an outdoor plant, many people buy it and keep it indoors, and many of them do not survive more than two weeks. It is better to plant it somewhere in the garden or in front of the building, in a place with a lot of sun, and during the flowering period, cut the flower stalks, which can dry, the flowers do not lose their color even after drying, and the smell of lavender it will last more than 12 months, when it can be harvested again. Planting lavender plants in pots can be done as long as the ground is not frozen, i.e. from April to late autumn in October. By planting in the garden, without moving the existing soil, the plant does not suffer, because the root of the plant is not cut (not disturbed), but the space for the roots of the plant is increased. Lavender being a plant of Mediterranean origin, it needs a lot of sun and heat, so it is recommended to plant it in the sunniest part of the garden. Soil requirements. Try to avoid planting in swampy places, prefer well-drained soil, not very rich in nutrients, sandy, calcareous or clayey. It adapts well to almost any garden soil, and after rooting, it resists drought well. Planting distance. The lavender planting distance depends on what we want. Hedges: To create a border or hedge, plant 25-40cm apart depending on variety. Single bushes: to create round lavender bushes, the planting distance should be between 80 – 120 cm, depending on the variety. Many people see pictures of lavender fields and want a similar field of lavender and go ahead and plant them 25 cm by 25 cm, but not in rows, but in their entirety. This is completely wrong, you need to leave room for access to the plants, because they need to be cut regularly at least once a year. Lavender grown in pots requires regular watering, 2-5 times a week. Those planted in the garden are watered only in the first year, from the second year they resist drought well. Careful! Do not leave water in the saucer under the pot. It is a plant that does not know how to swim and drowns in a finger of water left at the bottom of the plate. That is why the water is emptied from the plate under the pot no more than 30 minutes after watering, even in summer. Care and maintenance. It is an unpretentious thing. plant, which does not require special care, resists drought and has no pests. Lavender planted in the garden requires only the trimming of the flower stems, during the flowering period or immediately after. It is recommended to cut the bushes to half or at least 2/3 of their height, so that the bushes will remain compact and branched healthy, and growth is encouraged. Lavender fields in France are harvested mechanically, 1-2 times a year. There are many varieties that after the first bloom, if cut early and only the flower stems, will bloom again. This second flowering is smaller in quantity and number of flowers, about half of the first flowering. It can also be grown in pots, but to live for many years, it needs a large pot with a minimum volume of 10-30 liters. It is planted in the garden next to roses, besides the fact that they have the same requirements for a lot of sun, lavender repels insects and ants, so you will get rid of aphids or other insects that attack roses. In addition, lavender also has a calming effect, both visually and through its fragrance.
